Clark and I did go out a few nights in a row. The first night we just had a quick dinner at Boulder Creek. We sat outside. Clark made one comment about how our steaks were overdone and next we knew the manager was at our table telling us they were free. Umm...that was not what we wanted to happen. We still ate the food. Were they overcooked... yes. We left a huge tip, and I left extra cash that paid for my meal with a note saying that I WAS paying for my food. I just didn't want them to think that he said anything b/c we were trying to get free food. We weren't. Then Clark rushed back to hospital for delivery (when not on call). I shopped online and went to bed. The next day I got up and ran. It was nice. I basically did stuff around the house and at some point went and had a pedicure. That night we went to the movies and watched Now You See Me. I thought it was good, and I really enjoyed the popcorn. Clark was on call this night but only got a few calls thankfully! Thursday I ran again in morning. Sat outside reading CME stuff in afternoon. Scrapbooked some. Then we went out to eat at Season's 52 that night. We had a gift card from Christmas. The night that should have been our most relaxed fun night did not turn out so great. We argued about stupid stuff and in the morning regretted how we wasted our night not being very nice to each other. Oh well...learn and move on!
The trio were having a great time in Holiday World. My mom called me way too many times but only once was to ask me, "what do you do when he (he being Ryan) has been screaming for an hour?" I guess he was upset b/c a ride that the park hoped would be back open by the end of the day was still broken, and he couldn't go on it. That sent him into a meltdown. I think they had to drag him out kicking and screaming. Not sure what she thought I was going to do about it from here. I would not have let him buy stuff from store or have anything special after a performance like that, but she caters to the kids, and so you do that and you can expect more meltdowns. Landon and Adam were perfect it sounds like. They all had fun and already want to go back. Hopefully I will get some pictures from my mom soon (although she is without a doubt the world's worst photographer). Landon came home saying it was the best place ever.
The big kids had a great time at camp. Alexis had a little camera that I bought her before she went. So much better than the disposable cameras b/c while she still stinks at taking pictures now we only have to pay for ones we want. Nick was not at all interested in taking pictures and did not want a camera. I was a little upset when he told me on the way home that the counselor asked if they wanted a CD of all the pictures they took, and he said no. Umm..hello of course your mom would have liked the pictures. So basically I will post some that Alexis took and only the ones we took of Nick at pick up. Those were the important ones anyhow.
Alexis had a blast. Loved every minute. She is so social that anything like this is going to be a big hit for her. I think she really grew in her faith this week as well. Here are some of the pictures she took.
This first picture was Alexis and one of her best friends, Madalyn. She is the daughter of one of my best friends, Stephanie, who I write about sometimes. Madalyn and Alexis are the same age, but as you can see Madalyn is a little tiny thing.
During the closing ceremony we learned a little about what each age group spent their week doing. Alexis was one of the girls who got up and spoke about what she learned this week. When I saw her getting up to speak I could not stop thinking...how can she be my daughter...talking in front of all those people. She did great! Here are some of my final pictures from camp pick up.
