Happy Birthday Alexis

Because I hate ending a day on a negative note. Especially on my princesses birthday. I worked a half day today b/c this week has been crazy in the office and KG was by herself. I wanted to help out. Alexis got to spend an hour in the office while I was finishing up with patients. She enjoyed that I think. She thinks I have a lot of fun at work and everyone seems nice. It is true... I work with a great group and we always have lots of laughs. After my half day was over I let her pick lunch. We went to Chili's. Then we went and she got a pedicure and manicure and I got pedicure (I never do my fingernails). She felt very special. I wanted to do something fun with her since we are not really celebrating her birthday for a few weeks.

I LOVE that girl!!!

In other children news Nick is playing in a hockey tournament with his best friend David. Due to driving and childcare issues we fought hard for them to be on the same team. They are loving it. I went to last night's game and it was a great one. Nick was in goal and it was against one of my best friend's child's team. It was a tie 3:3. While I was at work Nick had another game. I love how I am updated with texts the entire game. Nick scored twice (obviously did not play goalie this game). Another close game. Ended in a tie...3:3. Tonight's game was a must win game in order to be in championship at Conseco tomorrow. Nick played goalie. He had a SHUT OUT!!! Score 6:0. It was funny b/c Cathy was texting me. Clark was texting me. Then Cathy was calling me super excited. Then Clark was calling me. Then Kristy was texting me......... all while my work phone was going off. I had so many phones going at once I just had to laugh.

So proud of my little man and his entire team for playing hard. The kids are going to an Ice game tomorrow night and Nick gets to dress as goalie and during half time participate in this whole shoot out. There were two other people who got to draw out of a hat to see who else got to do it. His best friend David also gets to. How fun for them. I think they have really enjoyed spending a lot of time together over the break. I hope they have a great Championship game. There are great kids on both teams so really probably a win win ((as long as Nick does well............)

Well, I need to get my three little men off to bed. Lucky for me it was pajama day at school and so the dressing part is done:)

Hope everyone has a happy weekend. Praying the "call" part of mine doesn't suck.

Christmas at Grandma's 2011

Wow I changed the header picture and I guess with the way the picture was taken it made it huge. Can't figure out how to shrink it down. Oh well. The old photo was from last Christmas so I figure I better update. As for Christmas at my mom's....it was a wonderful day. It is always a long day as we start early and never get done until late but I enjoyed it. I thought the kids all had a great time and loved their gifts. I liked everything I got but once again have to return every pair of pants b/c my mom insists I am bigger than I am. They were all huge. I guess I would rather it be that way than all too small:) I was going to post pictures on here but I took over 200 so trying to decide what to chose was hard. In the end I just uploaded them to facebook. Since I had already posted the pictures of the presents and that in my opinion is one of the best things to see from her house, I figured it would be fine.
Let me try and come up with favorites:
Clark: I think the Gretzky hockey jersey
Nick: tough but maybe Xbox 360 or castle playmobil stuff or lego...okay no clue
Alexis: American girl stuff
Landon: art stuff and puppets
Adam: star wars ship
Ryan: legos
Me: bedroom and bathroom stuff and clothes

Okay I made all that up. I don't know what they liked best. They loved it all. I still have so much to put away that I need to get off the computer and get some things done.

I hope everyone has a happy day. I personally have a rather difficult day planned and would settle for just getting thru it!

Sneak Peek

Here is just a few pictures of my mom's color/themes for the year b/c I promised....... IT WAS BEAUTIFUL!!!  If you are new to my blog then I should explain that my mom does a different color/theme every year for Christmas and none of us kids/grandchildren knows what it is until we all come up from the basement together. This is something I look forward to every year. Tons of planning and hours and hours of prep work goes into this. I have been told that my grandma (my mom's mom has been working on the bows and some of the decorations for packages for nearly the entire year...b/c my mom picks the colors when she goes to the after Christmas sales for paper).

In the living room is always the big peoples gifts. As you can see it was elegant red, black and white. My 3 favorite colors together.....so I LOVED IT!!!

These stacked boxes are always the kids clothes that we the adults get to open. I actually had another stack b/c I have so many kids but it was put aside in the other room!

In the sun room is where the kids gifts are located. The theme this year was also red, black and white but all packages had a penguin theme. It was ADORABLE! So much detail in every package. She even decorated part of her tree to match the theme. Super cute!!!!!

Not the best picture of the kids but Alexis was crying about something just before we got started so it was as good as I was going to get at the time. Before we started opening and after she was done crying I got a much better one of just here in front of the packages.

I took a ton of pictures all day today. I will have a lot more to post about Christmas throughout the week....... stay tuned!

Boccone Christmas 2011...few pics

I have no time to write about the Boccone family Christmas b/c we are leaving to go to my mom's for final Christmas gathering. It will be an ALL day affair, so I anything in written form will just have to wait. The kids had a great time. Our day was nearly perfect...until....evening when we realized that Adam's iPod touch is long gone.....never to be seen again. That pretty much ruined my evening. Today I am trying to let it go. It is just money...right? Long story and will tell it later in the week.  Here are just a few of the nearly 200 photos I took yesterday morning. I will probably be blogging about Christmas all week so check back often. I promise to post at least the theme/color of my mom's Christmas later tonight but most of that post will happen mid week! Hope everyone has a great day.

Can't Wait............

I soooo should be sleeping right now, but I simply am too excited. I can't wait for the kids to get up. Actually the wait that is going to kill me is waiting for Clark to go round at work and get home so that 5 very excited kids can actually come downstairs.

I think this might be the first year in a very long time that we were done with all the prep work before 2am. Currently it is 2:15am. Clark is trying to catch some ZZZZ's but I am WIRED!!! This is that boundless energy that one of my best friends, Jenny, says I have (although she did text me at 12:43am and she was still going strong in the wrapping department). Here are some pictures before the kids come down and rip it all to shreds........

I don't even come close to my mom's amazing wrapping, but I still think it turned out nice. My mom would be proud I actually used bows this year, and I guess there is a theme......a Santa theme (which will likely be the same every year:) I can't wait to see my mom's color theme this year. It will have to wait until tomorrow however!

I can never fit all that I want in the stockings so this year we have only candy and a Webkinz in the stocking but all the stocking gifts in a bag!
These are the basement big gifts. My only unwrapped gifts each year. I sort of just let them find these gifts on their own and LOVE LOVE LOVE to hear their screams of excitement when they do! I always try and get something they don't expect!
I might have just as much fun on this beam as Alexis. Don't mind my PJ's and flabby arms!
I promptly fell off one second later!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!!!
