Disney Day 6- Animal Kingdom

Finally at the end of Disney blogging. Our last day was another great day. We almost always spend our last day at the Animal Kingdom b/c it is a park that closes earlier than the others and we always need to cut the day short to head to the airport.

We got up early and finished packing our room. We checked our bags at the resort and were off to the park. We had reservations to do another character breakfast at the Tusker House. We ended up getting there way before our reservation time so we walked around some just taking pictures b/c the park was not open (except for those going to breakfast). We had planned on waiting for the Peacock family for breakfast but we were early and they were running late so eventually we just went ahead and ate.  Here we are as we entered the park in front of the tree of life.

Alexis was really into the scary look photos

Picture with Donald before eating breakfast.
Sporting my Mickey marathon medal for my picture with Mickey.

Changed to the Goofy medal for my picture with Goofy!

After breakfast we headed over to the roller coaster (name escaping me at this exact minute) and rode it over and over and over b/c there was no line. I think we did it about 5 times. Then we hooked up with the Peacocks and rode one more time.
Then we went on the Safari ride. Probably the best one we had been on b/c ALL the animals were out and every close to the truck.

This elephant was trying to knock down this tree

Then we headed to Dinoland and did a few things.
Brothers David and Evan on the twirl ride. Nick and I were also on the ride but I was taking pictures.
Cathy and Alan waiting while the kids played in the dinoland playground area.
Nick playing.

After this we went to a Nemo musical that was great. Then we had lunch and headed out. This picture of the anteater was the last picture I took during the vacation.

We has a smooth trip back home. I sat with Cathy so we got to chat the entire way. The kids were frantically doing homework b/c very little got done during the vacation. This entire trip was a great one. I look forward to the Disneyland trip in Sept when we run the Disneyland half marathon and take the triplets. I will say I am totally bummed that the Disneyland races sold out within hours and we did not get signed up in time to do the Dumbo or 10K the day before the race. Clark and I barely got into the half and the Peacocks who were also planning on going with us again did not get registered in time. Very sad about this. Never in a million years did we think it would sell out within a couple of hours. Still we had a great time on this trip and no doubt will do the Disney Goofy again sometime in the future!!

Disney Day 5- Hollywood Studios

I said I would drag this trip out forever! I didn't have the chance to finish up the trip blogging over the last 2 days.  I think for the Hollywood Studio post I will mostly just do pictures. This is our favorite park so we had tons of fun!!!

In the morning before we left, Clark took the kids down for breakfast. Our resort has a character breakfast at Cape May. Since the kids did not use their sit down meals (we buy the meal plan) when they were in Tampa with my parents they had some left. I stayed back and packed the room since we were leaving the next day and I knew we would not be back until late.

Here we are on the dock waiting for the boat to take us to the park.

Here we are arriving at the park
We headed straight for our favorite ride. First up was the Tower of Terror. Alexis has been going on this ride since she was 3 years old.

Being silly!
Next up the Rock N Roll Roller Coaster. Love it. I think we rode this 2 or 3 times.
Alexis danced with the Disney channel crew!
We got a picture with Goofy while wearing our Goofy medals.

The Star Wars ride. Kids went on this several times as well.

My kids love playing in the Honey I Shrunk the Kids playground area.

They  made me climb through the web. Ummm.... hello peeps I did just run a marathon yesterday. My legs were feeling much better than expected but this was just mean!

Nick was not so great at taking this picture. He cut off the army man who was making Clark do push ups.
Waiting for our table at the 50's cafe

Having chocolate malts.
The Toy Story ride. Glad we fast passed this right when we got to the park b/c the wait was 80 minutes. It is a fun ride but not 80 minutes fun! Clark was very proud of getting the high score for the day. He is not competitive at all......hahaha!

 My monkeys
 We watched the parade
We watched the Indiana Jones show (for the millionth time)

My parents came late in the day again. They basically watched the Fantasmic show with us. It is a great show.

After the show we hit the roller coaster and Tower of Terror one last time before calling it a day. We had a ton of fun!
