This is the inside of the card. My mom actually thought this card was horrible b/c she thinks sending kids off to school is sad not happy. She read WAY too much into it. We LOVE our children but sending them off to school was a happy milestone in our lives. It was meant to be funny and not that we want to get rid of our kids!!
Here is a look back at all the cards since Clark and I have been together.2011- We could not come up with a theme that year. My partner Rob said do something Colts related since they are so BAD this year. We did. The real Santa and Peyton are on sidelines injured and the replacement Santa is screwing it all up and putting on the reindeer backwards. Not sure most people understood this card without the explanation.
The inside of the card at the bottom said, Go Colts! Better 'Luck' next year (get it...but Luck...Andrew Luck....)
2010- This was the year of my hip surgery and the year Clark ran Boston. My injury was a result of running so we just made a card about that. Santa on crutches. A gift of a treadmill with Santa telling elf that running is bad for you. The tag on the treadmill says For Clark, Boston or bust (representing his big race). In the background we have a hockey team b/c that is what Nick does and a gymnastics team for Alexis. The triplets are just looking down the stairs.
2009- This was the year of H1N1. Since both Clark and I are in the medical profession, it was a busy year. Everyone was freaking out about this, so we made a card about it. Basically Santa had a note for him saying if he had cough, fever , flu symptoms, etc leave the presents on the door. There was hand sanitizer on the sleigh. There was a H1N1 vaccine waiting instead of cookies. Also in the fire was board book to represent Clark being done with boards.
2008 Our triplets were young and into everything so our card shows 3 little ones hanging on Santa, pulling down tree and ripping threw gifts. The big kids were just watching.
Our title was Silent Night. The inside said "Yeah Right." There is no silence in our house EVER!
2006- There is no card from 2007. Our new life with 5 kids must have been too overwhelming. We were both in residency, and I am sure it was all we could do to survive. So 2006 was the year I was preggo with the triplets. This card needs no explaining. I love it. It may be my favorite.
