Here is Clark relaxing!! Our butler reserved this for us. The weather was once again perfect. We laid out, read, ate, and did some kayaking. Once done in the sun we had a couples massage. All that means is we were in the same room. The massage felt great but as usual when I get a massage the person giving it can't stop commenting on how tight/tense my shoulders and neck are. This was after 4 days of vacation so you can only imagine what she would have thought if I was back home with my crazy life going on!!
After our massage we got ready for dinner and headed out early to take some pictures at sunset. We almost missed it! It was lovely.
There was a photographer on the beach so we asked them to take a couple of pictures of us together.
We ate dinner with a view of the water. It was a great meal. The photographer found us again and took another picture.
After dinner we hung out talking with other guests at the fire pit. I love the reaction we get when we tell people how many kids we have. So many people there are on their honeymoons and so often people think we are as well. We talked with a really nice older couple (like late 60's to 70's maybe) from England. They live in the same town as princess Kate and said her family is very nice and down to earth. They made me feel very lucky to have my mom b/c when they asked who was taking care of the 5 kids and I said my mom they were shocked and said they can't handle more than 2 grandchildren at a time. My mom did a great job with my kids. She had lots of issues to deal with such as 2 kids puking in middle of night at same time. Dead car. Locking herself out of my house. Sports issues. It was a crazy week for her and yet when it was over she cried b/c she loved it. She now is on a kick of wanting to adopt kids. Ummm....mom you can borrow mine anytime you want:)
After we were done being social (which neither of us are really good at) we went to a little place that serves coffee and crepes. We had a wonderful second dessert and cappuccino. I think it was a great ending to what was hopefully a fun 50th birthday! The following pictures are out of order. Our butler set us up for a complimentary 10 minute photo shoot. We weren't really dressed up or anything since it was set up for 10:30am but this is what we did before we hit the beach. I think there are some nice photos of the two of us.
Happy 50th Clark. In 13.5 years we can do this all again when I turn 50!!
